GLEN COLLEGE


The College offers a range of wellness and support services designed to empower students and assist them in adapting successfully to the academic demands of higher education and the unique environment of Glen College of Agriculture. These services aim to promote student well-being, personal growth and academic success.

A comprehensive orientation programme is provided for first-year students to facilitate a smooth transition into College life. The programme includes guidance and support on the use of Library and Information Technology services, Student Governance structures, Residence and Catering services, Security, Health Care, as well as Sports and Recreation activities.

The College offers health and wellness services through partnership with external stakeholders such as the Department of Health and Higher Health and this is focused on promoting students’ health and supporting their mental, emotional and physical well-being. The College also have established partnership with the local police station for visible policing, drug abuse and crime prevention awareness campaigns.

Moreover, the College have made provision for students to have direct access to the Wellness unit of the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environmental Affairs as additional psychological assistance. The College is also in the process of a strategic partnership for various sporting codes with the ex-Couch for the National Soccer team (Bafana Bafana) Mr Molefi Ntseki. Further opportunities are provided for students to participate in arts and culture activities such as choir competitions.
